UPDATED - Mandatory Proof of Vaccination/Negative Covid Test Policy

Oct. 28, 2021

Effective Monday, November 1, 2021, proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test result will be required for anyone over the age of 12 to access all indoor facilities and arenas, including the AffinityPlex.

Proof of Vaccination

All patrons accessing indoor City of Regina facilities (including the AffinityPlex) will be subject to a proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test requirement. Those aged 12 and over must be able to provide proof of vaccination status upon entering the facilities. Only those individuals who are fully vaccinated or who can provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours will be allowed to enter the facility.  FC Regina will continue with providing staff for the Proof of Vaccine/Negative Covid test verification.

Residents under the age of 12, who are currently unable to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, will be exempt from the proof of vaccination requirement including the alternative of a negative test. For those children who are just turning 12, there will be a three-month leeway where they are exempt from the requirements while they are getting vaccinated. After the three-month leeway they must either be fully vaccinated or provide a negative test.

Any one of following will be accepted as proof of vaccination at City facilities:

  • Wallet cards received at time of immunization
  • A printed copy or screenshot of your MySaskHealthRecord vaccination certificate (with or without a QR code)
  • A COVID-19 vaccine printout from SHA Public Health
  • A QR code/MySaskHealthRecord vaccine certificate uploaded to SK Vax Wallet app
  • Official proof of vaccine documents from other governments may be considered

Proof of Negative Test

Individuals who do not have proof of vaccination have the option of providing proof of a negative COVID-19 test result from within 72 hours. These tests can be either rapid antigen, or a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, and must be administered by an approved location/lab as listed on the Government of Saskatchewan's website. FC Regina will continue with the Rapid Test kits from home as long as they are brought to the facility and the test is administered in front of FCR Facility staff.  This will be acceptable until December 15th, 2021, and starting December 16th, 2021, these will no longer be acceptable, and you will have to provide proof of Vaccination.   Individuals who do not have proof of vaccination have the option of providing proof of a negative COVID-19 test result from within 72 hours at your expense. These tests can be either rapid antigen, or a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, and must be administered by an approved location/lab as listed on the Government of Saskatchewan's website.  Labs offering Testing Services

ID Required

In addition to the proof of vaccination, photo ID will be required from anyone 18 and older. Youth aged 12-17 will also need to show ID unless accompanied by an adult with proof of vaccination and ID. Youth aged 12 to 17, entering a facility without an adult, who do not have photo ID will be allowed to present other forms of government issued ID such as birth certificate or health services card.

As always, we thank you for supporting FC Regina and we appreciate your patience as we work with the City of Regina on these new restrictions.  Once the vaccine roll-out is announced for ages 5-11, we will update you with any new guidelines.  We would also like to remind you that the mask mandate is in effect while in all City of Regina buildings. This applies to everyone on the bench including Team staff while not actively participating and spectators over 2 years of age.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact FC Regina Executive Director TJ Singh by email (tjsingh@fcregina.com) or phone (306-352-8040).
