FC Regina In-House 3v3 Competition

We are hosting a 3v3 competition from Sunday, December 26th through Friday, December 31th in the evenings.    Registration is now open.  We will register 4-6 players per team and team registration will be $150.  If there are individual players who are interested in playing and don’t have a team, please let me know and I will help find a team.  Teams will be required to register by December 15th.  Payment must be received by December 15th at 3pm.  This is not a formal tournament so will not require coaching staff.  THIS COMPETITION IS ONLY OPEN TO MEMBERS WHO CURRENTLY PARTICIPATE IN THE FC REGINA YOUTH OR ADULT LEAGUE!

Men’s Rec (Men’s Rec/Intermediate Players)

Men’s Comp (Men’s Premier/Men’s Semi Comp Players)

Women’s Rec (Women’s Rec/Intermediate Players)

Women’s Comp (Women’s Premier Players)

Coed Rec (Men’s, Women’s Recreation/Intermediate or Coed Recreation Players)

Coed Competitive (Men’s, Women’s Premier/Semi Competitive or Coed Semi Competitive)

Competition Rules

Format: 3v3 (1/8 size pitch, mini Bownets)

Ref: 1

Kick-ins: 5 seconds, required distance for all free kicks/kick-ins is 5 yards

Subs: on the fly

Roster size: Minimum 4, Max 6

Ball: Size 4 -all age groups/divisions

Game duration: 2 15-minute halves with a 3 to 5-minute half time.

Roster Eligibility:

  • All players must be registered in FC Regina Youth or Adult League
  • Teams can roster a maximum of 6 players and minimum of 4 players
  • A team must have a minimum of 3 field players to start each game. Players may only play on one team per age group.  For coed divisions, you must have a  minimum of 1 male and 1 female participants on the field of play at all times.
  • All players must be registered to the team prior to the start of the competition. NO PLAYERS CAN BE HAD WRITTEN ONTO THE GAME SHEET.

 

Round Robin:

Team will be given a minimum of 3 games based on number of teams in each division

Point system: 3pts Win, 1pt-tie

Games during Round Robin play that are tied after regulation play shall end in a tie.

Play-offs: 

Games during the Playoffs / Championship Rounds that are tied after regulation play shall proceed to a maximum of 2x5min golden goal (first team to score wins) overtime. If teams are still tied it will proceed to penalty kick with 3 players per team. The Referee has the official time on the field.

**A coin toss will decide team-kicking order. If one team has received a red card during the game and finishes with 2 players on the field, a remaining roster player (other than the red carded player) must be chosen to kick in the rotation of penalty kicks. If the red-carded player is the last remaining roster player, one of the two field players must kick twice.

Kick Offs

The kickoff is an indirect kick and played in any direction.

 

Kick-ins

5 second time limit

Opposing player must be at least 5yds from kick-in

Indirect kick, and a goal cannot be scored from this kick.

INDIRECT KICKS: All dead ball kicks (kick-ins, free kicks, kick-offs) are indirect except corner and penalty kicks.

Direct and in-direct kicks

All dead-ball kicks are direct

Goal kicks

May be taken from any point of the end line.

Penalty kicks

Penalty kicks are DIRECT kicks towards an open goal and are taken from the end line of the shooting team. Penalty kicks are dead ball infractions. If a goal is not scored, the defense obtains possession with a goal kick.

 

Five-Yard Rule

In all dead-ball situations, defending players must stand at least five yards away from the ball. If the defensive player’s goal is closer than five yards, the ball shall be placed five yards from the goal in line with the direction of play prior to the penalty.

Delay of Game

The referee has the official time on the field and holds the right to take necessary action if he/she feels that a team is delaying the game. Any player may be cautioned with a yellow card if it is deemed by the referee that the player is intentionally wasting time, such as if a player intentionally kicks the ball long distances away from the playing field in order to waste time. The referee has the official time on the field.

Forfeits

Teams are given five minutes from scheduled game time, or from delayed start time due to unforeseen circumstances, before the referee issues a forfeit. 

 

The FC Regina Competition Committee must approve all forfeits before the game is considered an official forfeit.  Any team forfeiting two games during pool play may be removed from the tournament. Any team forfeiting one game during the playoffs may be removed from the tournament.

 

If necessary, we may combine divisions in order to create viable divisions.
